Nature – the protector and healer

Sometimes even the most sophisticated and advanced medical treatments cannot compete with Nature! Getting close to Nature and exposure to natural elements like the sun, wind and water can be the remedial solution to many ailments.

Naturopathy is a therapy and line of treatment that relies exclusively on Nature for curing. It is based on the belief that the human body is designed for self-healing with the capacity to repair when exposed to a healthy environment. This system of healing was practiced by our forefathers and is now being promoted by scientists and physicians over the world.

Research has shown that contact with Nature can have dramatic positive results on our health. Basking under the sun for just a few minutes can also help supply bone-building vitamin D. New evidence shows that natural beauty, even in small doses can do wonders to our well-being. Researchers now suggest that passive contact with nature, like looking at trees from a window, can be as therapeutic as a walk in the woods.

Nature can be the reliever in decreasing mental fatigue, enhancing concentration and perking up your spirits. Just sitting by the sea-shore and watching the sparkling sea and listening to rippling waves can ease all your tensions. Your can feel your muscles relax, body pain vanish and your emotions reaching a new high.

Nature is also one of the best prescriptions to drive away your blues and cure depression. Turning to Nature, when you’re feeling down, can Instantly elevate your mood. Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, recognized this powerful healing quality of nature and aptly said, "Nature cures – not the physician"
