There are hidden costs to hospitalization which are not covered by Health insurance, for example, expenses incurred on conveyance by family members to and from hospital, special diet expenses, expenses incurred by family member staying with patient and so on.

This product provides the insured with a daily cash benefit for each 24 hours spent in the hospital. For this purpose, the hospitalization should be either in a Registered Hospital or in a Hospital with a minimum of 15 beds and round the clock medical attention. Hospitalization could be due to sickness or accident. This product is not a substitute for Health insurance, rather this supplements the existing insurance covers bought individually or provided by the employer.

This insurance gives daily cash benefit for every 24 hours of hospitalization due to illness.

If the hospitalization is due to an accident then the policy pays double the daily benefit up to 21 days (for this purpose the daily benefit for first 24 hours spent in hospital is not payable).

If the confinement is in an ICU, then the policy pays triple the daily benefit up to 21 days of confinement in ICU.

A fixed lump sum amount as per the Plan chosen is payable, if the confinement in hospital is for illness covered under the policy, and  confinement exceeds 21 consecutive days. This benefit is over and above the daily benefit and is payable once in the policy period. 

There are certain inadmissible expenses under Health Insurance such as conveyance by family members to and from hospital, special diet expenses, expenses incurred by family member staying with patient and so on. This scheme takes care of such expenses you incur by offering fixed daily cash benefit.

Yes, you can avail Income Tax exemption under this policy. The premium paid under this Policy towards self, spouse, 2 dependent children and dependent parents are exempt from Income Tax under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act.

The income tax exemption limit may vary, as per guidelines notified by the government from time to time. Currently, the limit for income tax exemption under Section 80D is restricted to Rs 15,000 per year. For senior citizens, the exemption limit is currently Rs 20,000.

1. Disease contracted during the first 30 days of commencement of policy.
2. Diseases / illness / injury existing at the time of proposing this insurance.

The policy has certain exclusions, like a 30-day waiting period, pre-existing conditions, 1st year exclusions, etc. Please refer to the policy terms and conditions for complete details. If the admission is due to any of these exclusions, the benefit will not be payable.

The cover granted under this insurance is valid for treatments taken in India only.

You may get enrolled under this scheme without any medical check up.

This insurance is available to persons in the age group of 1 year to 60 years, as on the commencement date of the policy. Renewals are available up to 70 years.

Maternity is not covered under this policy.

This scheme is a daily benefit scheme for hospitalization. Hence you may enroll yourself in this scheme.

No, there is no Third Party Administrator involved.

You can cover all of them. We offer 10% discount if 3 or more family members are covered under a single policy.
