Royal Sundaram appoints new CFO

Royal Sundaram Alliance Insurance Company Limited has announced the appointment of Ramkumar Krishnamachari as the Chief Financial Officer. Ramkumar comes on board with 17 years national and global experience in Finance and Accounting.

Speaking on the appointment, Managing Director Ajay Bimbhet, said: “As the insurance industry moves rapidly towards a challenging and exciting phase in growth, we have been looking at strengthening our leadership talent team. With his global expertise, I believe that Ram will partner to deliver sustainable shareholder value.”

 In his earlier roles, Ramkumar was the CFO at First Indian Corporation, Reliance Capital and Morgan Stanley Advantage Services.

Ram also has significant experience overseas, having worked for Reuters & KPMG Consulting in New York. He brings with him rich experience of global financial markets and a strong understanding in the application of technology to various business processes. Ram is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA Institute, USA) with impressive academic and professional track record. He is a rank holding ACA and AICWA, apart from being a qualified CPA (Delaware, USA).
