Royal Sundaram today announced the launch of Family Health Insurance Online, a comprehensive health insurance policy designed to protect the insured and his/her family. Customers could simply log into Royal Sundaram''s Online "InstaBuy" facility and get instant coverage for themselves and their family members including spouse, dependent children and dependent parents under a single sum insured. The entry age band is 18 years to 45 years in respect of adults and 91 days to 21 years for dependent children. Customers can also renew online up to the age of 70 years, a company release said.

or medical examination was required for buying the policy online. Customers can also avail Income Tax benefit under section 80 D of the IT Act, it said. The insured will also have access to value-added services like cashless treatment (subject to conditions and authorisations) at over 2,000 networked hospitals across India, a 24-hour helpline and ambulance referral facility at no additional cost.
