Ranchi, October 10, 2012: Royal Sundaram Alliance Insurance Company Limited (www.royalsundaram.in), a joint venture between Sundaram Finance and Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance plc, UK, inaugurated its new branch in the capital city of Jharkhand - Ranchi. The newly opened branch is in line with the Company’s strategy to expand its network to tier II & III cities, while offering exceptional services to its customers. The branch would service Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Koderma and its adjoining areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Bimbhet, Managing Director said, “Ranchi indeed is the fastest growing cities of Jharkhand and offers significant business potential. Also, we are experiencing improved level of insurance awareness that has encouraged us to deepen our foothold. Earlier, Ranchi was serviced through the network of partners, dealer and agents and its operations were supported from Jamshedpur. The new facility at Ranchi will now enable business operations for Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Koderma and its adjoining areas.
Currently Royal Sundaram’s products are distributed in over 180 cities across India. With the addition of the new branch, the total strength of Company’s branches will be 106.
In the retail segment, the Company offers wide range of covers at competitive premiums for products such as Motor, Health, Personal Accident, Home, Home Content and Travel insurance. The Company’s Accident & Health claims process received ISO 9001-2008 certification for effective customer service delivery.
