It gives you the control you want on your vacation, a hint of adventure and of course a beautiful view while you are on the way to your destination. India, in fact has many vacation destinations that offer you the best rides you can have. Let’s see where all you can drive to in the upcoming vacation season:
National Highway 17, Drive from Mumbai to Goa
Probably every Mumbaikar has been on this 582 km stretch of well build Highway. This road connects Panvel, near Mumbai to Kochi, passing through the states of Maharashtra, Goa, Kerala and Karnataka. National Highway 17 is also called as the Mumbai-Goa Highway and is the 7th longest highway in India with 1,296 km. The road winds through forests, hills, rivulets, rivers and streams generally flowing westwards towards Arabian Sea. You also get a beautiful view of paddy fields and coconut trees that dot the way.
National Expressway 1, Drive from Vadodara to Ahmedabad
This road is also known as the Ahmedabad Vadodara Expressway and is the major connection for public transport to the cities Ahmedabad and Vadodara. Driving on this road can make any driver happy as the roads are flat, fast and smooth. It is a 95 lm drive and reduces much travel time between the two cities.
Chennai Pondicherry East Coast Road
The east coast road is a 113 km highway in Tamil Nadu. It is built along the coast of Bay of Bengal, connects Chennai with Pondicherry. The highway runs along the Bay of Bengal that glistens in the sun light. Also, the road is dotted with facilities like luxury resorts, food joints, tourist spots and places on interest and adventure sport arenas. This road is also well known as the ‘potpourri highway’.
Leh – Manali Highway
This patch of road is a paradise for every road trip enthusiast. This is a 475 km long National Highway that connects Leh and Manali. This road is a dangerous ride but is a mind blowing experience. The highway passes through some of the highest mountain passes in the world which includes Tanglang La, Lachulung La, Rohtang La, Baralacha La. The landscape drastically changes when you head towards Ladakh from Himachal Pradesh. This road was built by the Indian army for transportation; hence, it is capable of bearing heavy load vehicles as well. Driving through this road is a never before experience.
