What’s in Iceland – Iceland is rich in natural beauty. You can go rafting, bird watching, whale watching, hiking, kayaking, swimming in the sea, and more. Summer is colourful and full of flowers. There are plenty of National Parks you can head to! Iceland has museums of varied themes. Not to forget, Iceland is THE PLACE to go for glacier tours! Also, in summer, sun shines for 24 hours in the country!
The weather – In Iceland temperatures usually hover around 3 – 100 C. Pack adequately, as locals say that one may see 4 weathers in a single day!
France is bustling with activity yet has a laidback attitude. Visit parks, museums, food, shopping and more.
What’s in France – The icon of France is Eiffel tower, which you can see and marvel at nighttime as well, when it is spectacularly lit. In France, there are amazing beaches to look forward to. For kids, there are fantastic museums, Disneyland, Parc Asterix (an amusement park). Infact, on May 14th, 2011 all museums in Paris will open doors for free of cost! Skiing may still be open at very high-altitude places.
The weather – Temperature can vary between 10 – 180 C. Showers are not unexpected, so do pack raincoats!

What’s in Australia – Australia is truly unique! This is the only place where you can see kangaroos and koala bear. You can spot the majestic whale at this time. It’s the best place to go scuba diving to view amazing marine creatures. Winters in Australia are for and wildflower trailing. The ultimate winter’s experience lies at Tasmania! Australia a great place for kids and young people!
The weather – Winter season in Australia is setting in. The temperature depends on the region you visit. The high and low of temperature in northern Australia could be around 30/200 C. In southern Australia, the extremes could be around 20/100 C.
Penguins, skiing, glaciers, national parks – Argentina is an off beat summer holiday destination!
What’s in Argentina – Argentina is a mini USA and there’s plenty to do! In the Córdoba region, you can go for adventurous activities – trekking, mountain climbing, biking, paragliding, hang-gliding, ballooning and more. There are more than 10 National Parks in the country. You can go skiing in Andes range (Las Leñas is one of the most famous ski destinations). Deep south, you can go on a glacier tour (Don’t miss: Perito Moreno Glacier) or spot penguins!
The weather – Southern Argentina (lying closest to Antartica), and region around the Andes range will be chilly so expect temperatures around 0-60C. The northern side may be cool with maximum temperature around 200C.
However, if you are a little low on budget…the best place to head is – India! Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal, North East are the coolest destination to head in summer. Who says you have to cross the borders for a good vacation!
