Interesting Ways to Spend This Father’s Day with Your Dad

Posted by Royal Sundaram on 08 Jun 2017

Dads are the reason why we believe in superheroes! They nurture us when we are young, support us during our struggles and comfort us when we wish to rest. If your dad is your guiding light, it is time to appreciate all his efforts. And certainly a good tie, a pleasant after shave or a surprise car wash isn’t the most thoughtful way to express your gratitude. This father’s day gift your dad the gift of your time, and remind him that you are not just his kid but also a partner; be a part of his happy!

Road Trip

The love and concern for your wellbeing transformed your dad into leading a cautious and calculative life. If you wish to bring out the carefree lad who loved to explore new roads without a worry in the world, take him for a bike ride.

In order to ensure that he enjoys to the fullest, you take the responsibility of safeguarding your escapade. Check yours and your dad’s license, as well as your two wheeler insurance so that you are not relying on a lapsed policy. If you don’t have a cover already, buy your bike insurance online through a quick and easy process. Go for an accident insurance for a comprehensive coverage.

Also, although an itinerary isn’t required, check the places that you are likely to visit — best routes, road conditions, fuel pumps and network garages of your bike insurance company. Take turns to drive so that he gets to enjoy both the excitement of driving and the leisure of witnessing the scenery.

Favourite Sport

Being partners is fun, but being competitors is thrilling. A cricket match, football or tennis, find out which game your dad enjoyed the most when he was young. Organize a Father’s Day League, invite his friends and yours, and have a face-off. This is your chance to learn a move or two from him.

If your dad is not willing to take a tour of the field or cannot take a lot of physical strain due to any health condition, engage him in a play station instead. Believe me, once indulged he will beat you at it too!

Movie Night

If your dad is a movie buff, organize a movie night for him. Arrange his old-favourites and see him reminisce in the yesteryear actors, and the memories that the movie brings from the time when it was first released. Mughal-E-Azam or Gone with the Wind, find out what stirs his soul.

You can have a family night, an exclusive son/daughter and dad date or friends sleepover.

Visiting his native where he grew up or revamping a dish from your grandma’s recipe book that he loved as a kid are other fantastic options that are sure to make him unusually happy!
