Applicability

Rural Hospital cash is applicable to farmers, persons residing in rural areas, co-operative members and social sectors such as workers & other unorganised sector.
 

Special features

  • It is a simple benefit policy that offer a lump sum payment if the insured is hospitalized due to illness or accidental injury.
  • For all in-patient hospitalization a fixed daily benefit as per plan chosen for a maximum of 21 days will be paid irrespective of actual expenses incurred by the insured. A minimum of 24 hours hospitalistation is necessary.
  • There is no need to submit expense bills and payment is made on the basis of actual number of days the insured stayed at the Hospital as inpatient.
  • In other-words the insured is entitled to receive the amount according to the stay in the hospital as an inpatient.
 

Benefit limits

There are two benefit plans. Silver & Gold. Hospital expenses are reimbursed under the policy subject to the limit under the plan opted during the policy period.

Important Exclusions

  • All diseases/injuries existing at the time of proposing this insurance.
  • Intentional self-Injury, suicide or attempted suicide.
  • Dental treatment or surgery of any kind unless requiring hospitalisation.
  • Hospitalisation arising out of any condition associated with AIDS.
  • The treatment of psychiatric, mental or nervous conditions, insanity.
  • Any hospitalisation relating to or traceable to pregnancy or its complications.
  • First Year Exclusions:
  • Hospitalisation for treatment of Congenital Internal Diseases, Cataract, Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy, Hysterectomy, Fistula, Fissure in Anus, Piles, Hernia, Sinusitis, stones in the urinary and biliary system during the first year of the operation of the Policy is not covered.
