The all New Audi AS

15 September, 2014

Established as a division of Volkswagen Group Sales India in 2007, Audi quickly grew to become one of the most reputed brands in the luxury car division. With an eclectic line-up of landmark cars ranging from the elegant A4 to the menacing Q7, Audi has left no stone unturned to be the market leader in India. This year, the German auto giant is launching the revamped, all-new A3 sedan in India.

Unveiled in India at the Auto Expo this year, the A3 is an entry-level sedan for the four-ring German marque. Just below the A4, this mean machine sports most features of its elder sibling, and is to take on its rivals the Mercedes-Benz A Class & B Class and the BMW 1-Series, which are hatchbacks.

The sharp headlamps, beautiful shape, and sporty finish will enthralling; A3 will have your attention as it cruises past you. This is not the only domain in which the A3 outshines its peers. The trademark full-LED headlights form a characteristic impression.

The A3 comes with a relatively new look on the inside, with round air-conditioner vents, the pop-up digital display, the Audi MMI System, a multi-functional steering with audio and phone controls, a sunroof, and electrically adjustable seats that go well with rich upholstery. The cabin has ample leg-room and shoulder space, and the people in the rear seats can have a comfortable and enjoyable ride. The luggage going along also travels comfortably, with a boot that houses 435 liters of space.

What comes below the interior is even more stunning. The car uses Audi’s Ultra-Light Weight technology, which involves using very light material and better manufacturing methods to make the car lighter, thereby enabling it to reach a 100 kilometers per hour in less than eight seconds. It is available in both petrol and diesel variants, and comes with 1.8 liter and 2.0 liter engine variants, both of which have a seven-speed automatic transmission.

The German giant has clearly not scrimped on any safety features even for its entry level sedan, fitting it with an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Braking assist System (EBS), Electronic Stability Control (ESP) and airbags. Though this car packs a bunch of safety features, it is wise to get a car insurance when you purchase it.
