Royal Sundaram General Insurance Co. Limited has come up with a New Scheme called "Earn While You Learn" for today's aspiring College Students.
This Scheme comes as a Great Opportunity for College Students to Gain Experience & Earn while they Learn with Royal Sundaram.
We aim at providing opportunity for the students who are Keen to Learn & Explore, Have a Thirst to grow at young age, Possess a positive Attitude towards developing themselves Professionally in all possible ways & Has the Willingness to Work with Passion & Commitment.
The students will be trained on Insurance Basics, Royal Sundaram Products and other business essentials etc..& they can take it forward from there.
The students need not come to office after the initial training; they need not compromise on their classes / enjoyment.
All they need to do is Connect with Potential Customers / Existing Customers to get New Business / Renew Existing Business.
They will be under the Guidance of a "Business Development Officer".
They will be paid a stipend of Rs. 2000 per month for the first three months. (Out of which Rs. 1000 is a guaranteed amount & Rs. 1000 is variable which will be given as an incentive based on the number of policies purchased by the customers they bring).
They will attract incentive for every new customer they bring.
Payout will be done on the receipt of the Premium received from the customers the students bring.
We expect the student to bring at least 1 policy in the first 3 months & give them sufficient flexibility, As the First three month is a lead time for them to understand the business & learn about the basics of insurance, products, process etc.
Post which, they will be retained only if they perform. (i.e those who have not brought even 1 business in the first three months shall not be a part of this scheme & therefore be relieved / terminated) .
For those who make it up & continue for a year with good performance, we are also looking forward to support with scholarship for the IRDA Insurance Certification Courses (like : Professional Examination of Insurance Institute of India).
This course will certify them as an Insurance Professional. (This would be an additional qualification for them & will be helpful for those who choose this field as their career).
Additionally the Students shall also be given an opportunity to do their Internship / Project with Royal Sundaram.
They can feel free to contact anybody in the organization to clarify any doubts & grow as an insurance professional.
This gives them real time work experience + great learning.
Therefore, the students will Learn & also Earn with Royal Sundaram , and thereby creating an edge over in their career.
Its is assured that as they pass out of the College they will come out as an Experienced Undergraduate establishing their own stand in academics as well as in professional front.
It is not just the money the students earn but the exposure they will gain with this unique Hands on Experience.
1st / 2nd Year Under Graduates - Any Disciplines (preferably B.Com, Corporate Secretaryship, BBA, BBM, BA. Economics, Literature / those with Finance / Banking / Accounts background
Minimum 60 % of Marks obtained consistently at all classes (from 10th, 12th till current semester)
Possess Good Communication Skills
The Student should have completed 18 years of age as on 01st November, 2011
The students can register with the college Placement Officer (who will be our single point of contact). Registration to be done on or before 18th January, 2012
We seek to receive the consolidated list of nominations for this scheme on or before 21st January, 2012.
Based on the nominations received, we will fix the date & venue for Aptitude test in any college premises / our own premises. (Tentatively 23rd January, 2012)
Candidates are advised to prepare on General Aptitude, About General Insurance & About Royal Sundaram from websites / basic insurance books.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their Aptitude Score & the Group Discussion / Role Plays (conducted on the same day) monitored by our HR representatives (Tentatively 23rd January, 2012).
The Final List of Selected Candidates will be released to the college on the same day / 24th January, 2012 based on the time availability.
On-boarding & Training to commence on 30th January, 2012
