Honda BR-V Review

Honda BR-V Review

The compact SUV segment has been buzzing of late, with a plethora of launches flooding the market. The car segment that was kickstarted by the Renault Duster now has an entrant from the 'Land of the Rising Sun!'. Honda has leapt into the fray with the BR-V, a seven-seater crossover SUV. The Renault Duster and the Hyundai Creta lie squarely in its crosshair.

What does Honda BR-V offer? Let's take a glimpse!

With the BR-V, Honda has done just about enough to keep up with the competition, and a little to beat it! Honda BR-V rocks seven comfortable seats and offers a compliant ride, and has engines that have proven themselves in other cars from the Japanese automaker’s garage

The two major dealmakers for the BR-V will be the fact that it has seven seats and Honda’s hassle-free ownership experience.

Engine & Mileage: BR-V is available with Honda’s existing 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines, which produces 119PS/145Nm and 100PS/200Nm respectively. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. However, the petrol engine gets a CVT option as well. The company claims an impressive mileage of 15.4 kmpl for the petrol and 21.9kmpl for the diesel.

Features: The Honda BR-V is adorned with keyless entry, push-button start, automatic climate control and an integrated music system with easy steering-mounted controls. On the safety front, Honda BR-V gets dual airbags, ABS, EBD, rear parking sensor with a camera and an electronic engine immobiliser.
