The fees for registration has to do with the type of vehicle. For a light commercial vehicle, a fee of Rs. 1000 is charged. A rickshaw or a cart is charged Rs. 1000. An imported motor vehicle is charged Rs. 5000, while heavy goods vehicles are charged Rs. 1500. A motorcycle is charged Rs. 300.

 

Procedure for Vehicle Registration

The process to get a vehicle registration is easy. Every vehicle has to face the two-step procedure. The first step is the temporary vehicle registration, and the dealer has to provide it. The second step is to get permanent vehicle registration from the RTO, where the car was purchased.

To transfer a vehicle from another state to Maharashtra, the owner has to get it registered with the state. The application for the transfer is made with Form 26 and Form 20.
