Toyota Vios Review/Feature
The car brand will be launching Toyota Vios in petrol and diesel engines. In that sense, becoming a part of a bigger market will be easy for the car. Many Indians have divided opinions about petrol and diesel cars, and Vios’ engines might play an important role in the popularity of the car. The car will be available in the 1.3-liter petrol unit; the output and power are expected to be game changers. Meanwhile, the diesel engine of the car is a 1.4-liter unit like the Etios’ unit, with improved features. Toyota Etios’ impressions are there on the car’s engine but only to make it better for the new modes.
The diesel model of the 1.4-liter engine is expected to deliver BHP of above 80, while the petrol model of the 1.3-liter engine is expected to deliver BHP of above 75. However, relying on the size of the engine, Toyota Vios is expected to deliver mileage between 17-20 kmph.
The transmission of the car will be manual. It will be a 5-seater car and is expected to provide a comfortable ride experience. The fuel tank capacity is of 50 liters. The car will come with five gears, and it will deliver a maximum torque of 141 Nm, and the rpm is 4200. McPherson Strut powers the front suspension of the car. The turning radius of the car is 5.1 meters. The rear brake type is powered by drum type. Meanwhile, the front brake type is ventilated disc. The steering gear type is Rack & Pinion.

Toyota Vios RTO Registration/Car Registration
Car registration is mandatory according to the law of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. The Act gives the power to RTO to look after the registration of every vehicle in India. The process of vehicle registration is easy. First, when the owner buys a car, the dealer registers it on a temporary registration, which is valid for a few days. The owner then has to submit a few documents to get permanent registration from the RTO.
The road tax for the car changes according to the vehicle. If the price of the car is below Rs. 10 Lakh, the RTO charges 12%. However, if the price of the car is above Rs. 10 Lakh, the RTO charges 14%.
Alternate Car Brands in India
The under 4-meter compact sedan is one of the most competitive vehicle segments in India. Toyota Vios has its competitors even before its launch. Some of them include Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent, and Maruti Suzuki Dzire. All the car brands fall in the same price bracket, which will make it harder for Toyota Vios.
