Introducing Honda Brio

The Honda Brio - Get ready to leave a bold new impression! Small cars like Honda Brio still drive the majority sales in the Indian market for all the car makers. Keeping that in mind, Honda entered the small car class with the launch of the Honda Brio in the year 2011. The sharp front grille and fine style lines arising up from the sporty headlights are a tribute to Honda Brio’s love for you. The Brio was provided with a 1st-gen Amaze-inspired facelift in 2016 to be in pace with the competition. Ex-showroom Price in Mumbai ranges from Rs. 4.82 - 6.95 lakh. On the interior, the two-tone dashboard was substituted by an all-black one. Like it goes with facelifts, the Brio rocked the same 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine that produces 88PS and 109Nm. If it’s an active performance you were after, you will stick to the manual ‘box. Claimed fuel efficiency for Honda Brio stands at 16.5kmpl for the auto and 18.5kmpl for the manual. Honda Brio is available in four colours - Alabaster Silver, White Orchid Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Rallye Red. Valued between Ex-Showroom price in Mumbai Rs 4.82-6.09 lakh, the Brio competes with petrol variants of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ford Figo, Hyundai Grand i10 and newly updated Toyota Etios Liva.

Honda Brio Review

An all-new face for the Brio was launched in India in September 2011. Over the years, Honda Brio has undergone subtle changes across exteriors and interiors, which are aligned with the update given to its Indonesian model. The 2016 Brio's fascia is now enhanced with a more prominent grille that gets a black accent and a solid chrome strip. The front bumper is also redesigned for greater appeal; however, there are no additions at the sides. The rear now highlights a tail-gate spoiler integrated with an LED high mount lamp. There's a new defogger that will help in our kind of weather conditions and driving situations.

Interior of Honda Brio:

Surprisingly comfortable! You will be welcomed by the latest interiors that are similar to the Amaze facelift and the BR-V. A novel instrument cluster, bigger dials, new two-din infotainment system, and a premium air-con unit, these are the things that will catch your attention. The lower variants receive a beige cabin, but the top-end Brio comes with bold all-black interiors with attractive silver accents. Since the Brio's seats haven’t changed, seating comfort remains the same. Thin front seats offer decent lateral and thigh support, while the second row provides adequate room and comfort.

On the features front, the Honda Brio receives basic features only such as electric power steering, keyless entry, all four power windows, manual AC, height-adjustable driver seat, electrically foldable and adjustable ORVMs, day/night IRVM, a 2-DIN music system with Bluetooth, FM, MP3, AUX, USB and steering-mounted audio controls, and a tilt-adjustable steering.

Honda Brio RTO Registration

The Regional Transport Office (RTO) administers a check on each and every vehicle operating in India. Spread across several regions of India, RTOs provide a broad variety of services related to cars. However, one of their principal services is vehicle registration.

The RTO registration of a car is obligatory. It is a two-step process:

•    Temporary RTO Registration Number in India

Followed by

•    Permanent Vehicle Registration Number in India

List of documents needed to register a vehicle:

•    Application form CMV20

•    Sale certificate of the car

•    Active insurance certificate

•    Valid address proof

•    Temporary registration issued by the dealer

•    Registration fee

•    PAN card copy

•    Original invoice

•    Sales tax clearance certificate and No Objection Certificate from RTO (if you are buying the vehicle in one state and registering it in another)

The registration fee for a car like Honda Brio would be Rs. 1,000.
