Toyota Corolla Altis Review and Features

ENGINE – The Corolla Altis 4-cylinder 1798cc petrol engine delivers a power of 140bhp and a torque of 170Nm. The 4-cylinder 1364cc diesel engine provides the power of 88bhp and max torque of 205Nm. The standard transmission system is the 6-speed manual system.

The new Altis variant has the powerful CVT-i transmission system with a seven-speed sequential shiftmatic transmission system. This variant comes with a paddle shift mechanism and also has a Sports mode for the enthusiasts.

EXTERIOR – The new Corolla Altis is available in seven color options – White Pearl Crystal Shine, Champagne Mica Metallic, Silver Mica Metallic, Super White, Grey Metallic, Celestial Black, and Phantom Brown.

It features halogen headlights in the base variants, and bi-beam LED headlights with auto-leveling headlamps in top variants. The exteriors also boast of fog lamps, rear LED taillights, and electrically adjustable, retractable, foldable outside rear view mirrors with turn indicators.

INTERIOR – The interiors have a dual color tone with a soft-touch dashboard. There is 10-way power adjust for the driver’s seat, and leather covers for the seats and steering wheel in higher variants. The interiors have a host of top-end features like 7’ touchscreen audio, six speakers, LCD movie display screen, automatic AC, cup and bottle holders, and rear seat recline.

SAFETY

The Toyota Corolla Altis include ventilated disc brakes at the front and solid brakes at the rear with ABS and EBD, further bolstered by brake assists for protection on wet and slippery surfaces.

The safety features also include seven airbags, child restraint system, speed auto lock, impact-sensing fuel cut, rear window defogger, etc.

The Corolla Altis features a Stability Control system to keep the vehicle dynamics in harmony and control to assist during high speeds. The additional hill-assist system prevents the vehicle from rolling back and ensures a comfortable and safe steep road driving.

Toyota Corolla Altis RTO Registration

RTO registration of the vehicle before plying it on roads is compulsory as per the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988. The RTO or the Regional Transport Office looks after the registration of cars in India.

4. Roadworthiness certificate
5. Address and age proof
6. Original Invoice of the vehicle
7. A Temporary Registration Number

9. PUC certificate
10. Photographs of Passport size

You will be required to visit the RTO office with the aforementioned documents and the applicable photocopies to register your vehicle.
